Easier future maintenance
As Members specify the products that they want installed,they know that they are not going to get whatever the installation contractor can buy cheapest at that time. This certainty over the product installed means that future maintenance will be simplified. In addition, our contracts contain requirements on the availability of spare parts.
Strategic supplier monitoring
Part of business resilience relates to understanding the financial and legal security of strategic suppliers. As part of membership, Members can name suppliers that they want monitored. This is undertaken through a contract with Exor, who use Experian for the financial monitoring
Value for money improvements
Members are able to buy products that are as good or better than their existing products at lower prices.
Advantage SW has been instrumental in leading on increases in warranty periods. With the geography and stock dispersion of the south west meaning that some Members have had problems with responsive issues, the contract management power of Advantage SW enables them to have problems resolved quickly.
Members have access to the electronic tendering and e-auction system at www.advantageswtenders.co.uk which they can use for their own individual requirements. Included in this is the ability to award contracts using e-auctions.
