Resident Involvement

The products that we award frameworks for will be going into residents' homes. We think that is is very important to let residents and their representatives have an input into the decision making process.

In 2012 residents representatives from all Members have told us how they want to be involved.

The most important element of involvement is the Residents Viewing. Tenderers must provide samples of the products that they would supply if successful. We hold viewing events for these products, at which tenants provide their views and rate the products for “aesthetic and functional characteristics”. In plain speak, this means how the products look, feel and how easy to use they are. The products are anonymised and there are no salesmen, goodies or brochures with the products.
